Shubhechchha Maharjan

Shubhechchha Maharjan is a biotechnology graduate with academic training in molecular biology, microbiology, immunology, and bioinformatics. She completed her Bachelor of Science in Biotechnology from Purbanchal University and has developed strong laboratory skills through hands on research and practical training. Her undergraduate thesis focused on the development and validation of an in house indirect IgG ELISA for Hepatitis C virus among HIV infected patients, conducted at the Kathmandu Research Institute for Biological Sciences (KRIBS). This work involved ELISA optimization, biosafety level II laboratory practices, and diagnostic assay development. She has practical experience in DNA extraction, PCR, gel electrophoresis, UV spectrophotometry, microbial culturing, and aseptic techniques, along with exposure to animal cell culture systems. Shubhechchha has also received training in computer aided drug design and cell culture techniques and has presented her research at national conferences. Her interests include diagnostic microbiology, immunological assays, and bioinformatics driven analysis.
